Toonces

Toonces was rescue cat given to me by my best friend when I was in college. She was my trusted companion through some of the hardest times of my life. When my mother died over 10 years ago, she was by my side and when one of my closest friends died 3 years ago, Toonces was there for me too. Saying farewell to her was like saying goodbye to 20 years of my life. My heart is so empty without her, but I know that her spirit will live on and hope that somewhere out there she is taking good care of my mom.

She was born with a rare genetic skin condition and wasn't diagnosed for well over a year. During this time, I had several vets suggest I put her to sleep since they didn't really understand the disease or know of many animals who were currently living with it. I am glad I chose not to listen to them.

I miss you Toonces and hope that the rest of your 8 lives are filled with as much love and happiness that you gave me.
